British Sheepskin Rare Breed Rug - Light Tones
Real British Sheepskin. Rare by nature. Light in tone, rich in character.
Genuine British rare breed sheepskins - every rug is 100% real British rare breed sheepskin — no two are ever the same. Soft, light tones and natural markings give each piece its own character.
Tanned using traditional, low-impact methods, there’s no bleaching, dyeing or over-processing. Just real wool, as nature intended — soft, dense, and full understated luxury.
The Rare Breed Light Sheepskin Rug brings something different to a space — a natural blend of soft greys, silvers, creams, and occasional flecks of brown, depending on the fleece.
With lanolin-rich wool that naturally resists dirt and repels spills, it’s practical too. Just shake it out, give it the odd brush, and let it soften and settle over time.
Throw it over a chair or bench, tuck it by the fire, or give the dog a treat — it suits all kinds of spaces and brings its own quiet character to each one.
Effortless comfort, quiet tones and individuality you won’t find in anything mass-made.

*Sheepskin rugs are measured from the fur side of the rug. The dimensions are approximate and can vary from rug to rug.
Our British rugs are tanned with the environment in mind and no chrome is used, so they’re not machine washable. Sheepskin is naturally dirt and bacteria resistant thanks to the lanolin in the wool, most just need a shake, a brush with a slicker dog brush or comb and an air on the line. To freshen them up further, a little dry shampoo works wonders, spray, let it dry, then brush it out.
For small stains or marks, try spot cleaning with a non-biological washing liquid and dry your rug naturally if it ever gets wet, not on a radiator or a tumble dryer.
It’s easier to keep on top of your sheepskin scare than catch up later, so try not to let them go too far without giving them some tlc.
Please note that natural white sheepskin rugs may yellow slightly over the years. This is natural as the wool ages and the oxidation process occurs.
