Each rug is made from the waste of other products to form something new, functional and beautiful.
The sheepskin itself is a by-product of the meat industry. The offcuts used in the making of these rugs are waste from the manufacturing process of other products like sheepskin coats and slippers. These offcuts are then gathered together and reused, rather than going to landfill.
And so we reuse. There is less waste. And we waste-less. Smashing hey.
Due to this the colour of the sheepskin or stitching may vary.
Dimensions: 120CM length by 80CM width (at the widest part of the rug).
Our rugs are tanned with the environment in mind, meaning no chrome is used, so they’re not machine washable. Naturally dirt and bacteria resistant thanks to the lanolin in the wool, most just need a brush with a slicker dog brush and an air on the line. To freshen them up further, a little dry shampoo works wonders, spray, let it dry, then brush out. It’s easier to keep on top of them than to catch up later, so try not to let them go too far with out giving them a brush. For dyed rugs, avoid strong, direct sunlight to reduce fading—UV fabric spray won’t stop colour change but can help slow it down.
