Fletcher comes to Harrogate!
Dom met a couple of interesting sheep breeders at' Great Yorkshire Show this year and got to thinking... why not invite them into Harrogate to help them with their cause...?!
Tenants at the Drax Power Station Nature Reserve in Selby, Peter and Mandy Ellis (and family!) are responsible for a herd of 60 rare breeds, including North Ronaldsay, Lincoln Longwool, Portland and Greyface Dartmoor. They are being successfully bred and sold in a bid to increase numbers of these 'at risk' British breeds.
Come and meet Peter and Mandy, Fletcher and Friends and help raise the profile of our great British Breeds.
When - this Saturday 24th August between 11 and 4pm.
Where - Westmorland Sheepskins, 16 Montpellier Parade, Harrogate, HG1 2TG
Take selfies with these superstars and tag #gonative #forthefuture and @westmorlandsheepskins on social media - the best picture will win a British Sheepskin Rug!
Take a look at Britain's Sheep Watchlist on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust Website.
The Rare Breeds Survival Trust are present at many national, regional and county agricultural shows, trying to raise the profile of numerous breeds of British Animals that are under threat.
